Hey there! My name is Jennifer McElveen. I was born and raised in Beaufort, SC and live in Beaufort County to this day (It’s too pretty to leave). I’m a wife to the love of my life, a mother of two amazing adult children, and a Gigi to two perfect little boys (with one grandchild of undetermined gender on the way).
I come from a family of creative women. My Grandmother was a skilled crocheter. Some of my most treasured memories are of her teaching me to crochet at age 5. My mother is a gifted painter and creator. She has the ability to see art in everyday life. Her paintings are among my most treasured possessions. With such a strong creative and artistic influence, I have naturally been creating and crafting most of my life.
I usually have more ideas than time, so you will find a varied selection of items in my store and no two items will be exactly the same. I also love the challenge of creating something unique just for you, so feel free to ask about custom orders.
Gifts by Jennie Lee is the culmination of my creative journey. I chose this name because handmade items are a gift (to yourself or someone that you care about) The Jennie Lee is a childhood nickname given to me by a dear lady who was my next-door neighbor growing up. I always felt special that she loved me enough to give me a special nickname, and I wanted that special feeling to guide my business.
